Nature of the Service

This is a private reference service with no authority over a government office. It stores no official jail, court, release, or corrections records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, file a document, or alter an agency record. Its purpose is to point readers toward the Clay County sheriff contact, Clay County court contacts, Tennessee FOIL, and independent research tools.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors must use the site in a lawful and respectful way. By continuing, each visitor agrees not to:

• Break a law or encourage unlawful conduct
• Use information to stalk, threaten, harass, or harm a person
• Use site information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another eligibility decision
• Attempt access to accounts, data, or systems without permission
• Operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools against the site
• Disrupt availability or interfere with another visitor

No Consumer Reports

Clay County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It provides no background check, credit report, or consumer report. Its advertising and search partners do not provide screening services through this site. A visitor agrees not to use any information obtained here for:

• Hiring, firing, or another employment decision
• Tenant selection or housing access
• Creditworthiness, lending, or insurance pricing
• Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
• Any purpose regulated by the FCRA

Third-Party Destinations

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections sites, release records, government portals, legal resources, or outside search services. Those destinations are independent. A link does not endorse their content, and Clay County Released Inmates is not responsible for their uptime, results, privacy practices, or terms.

No Warranties

The site and its content are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, no warranty is made that:

• Information is accurate, complete, or current
• Access will be continuous or uninterrupted
• The service is free of errors, bugs, or security flaws
• A partner search will be complete or return a particular result

Custody status and public records change often. Nothing here is an official statement from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, TDOC, a court, or another agency.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent Tennessee law permits, the site, its owners, and its contributors are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of a linked service.

User Indemnification

A visitor agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the site and its operators harmless from claims, losses, expenses, and reasonable legal fees arising from that visitor's use, misuse, or violation of these terms.

Content Ownership

Original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Clay County Released Inmates or the applicable content partner. No one may copy, distribute, republish, or modify protected material without written permission, except where law expressly allows it.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A new version takes effect when it is posted here. Continued use after posting signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

Access May End

Access to all or part of the site may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time, for any lawful reason, and without advance notice.

Tennessee Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any permitted dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Tennessee.

Severability

If a court finds one term invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected provision will be adjusted only as much as necessary to make it enforceable where the law permits.
